Draw when more people coincide
If the kitchen is also a place for conversation, point out where people sit and what tasks they are doing at the same time. Try specific situations, such as opening a drawer while someone is occupying a seat. This reading helps to decide the position of the furniture based on its use and not on an empty scene.
Keep supports out of the main path
A place for drinks or dishes can prevent those sitting from invading the preparation area. Before adding a piece, check its depth and relationship with the doors. In small kitchen layout you can review how to balance those supports with circulation.
Relate openness and coexistence
If you consider joining rooms, you should study where the table is and how the space is crossed during a meal. The opening of the kitchen to the living room must be related to those real positions, in addition to the technical checks of the wall and the finishes that would be affected.
